Tucked away in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the historic and privately owned country estate of Acton Scott.
Its peaceful village character is cherished by all those living and working within the Parish, while visitors and holiday makers are encouraged
to enjoy its timeless appeal. With such support, Acton Scott's rural heritage can be preserved for future generations to also enjoy.
Acton Scott has long provided the opportunity to connect with the simplicity of traditional country life. Situated in the 18th century Home Farm
buildings, the Historic Working Farm is a popular visitor attraction conceived by Thomas Acton to keep alive the 19th century skills he grew up with.
A new oak framed hall is now available on the historic farm for conferences, courses and private parties.
Acton Scott has achieved national fame as the setting for BBC TV's hugely popular 'Victorian Farm' and 'Victorian Farm Christmas', produced by Lion TV.
These followed three historians who recreated rural life as it might have been in 1885.
